Chute Washing Procedures
EVALUATION
A floor-to-floor evaluation and visual inspection will be performed
to identify any repairs that may he needed to bring the trash chute
system into regulatory compliance. If the visual inspection reveals
damage to the trash chute system, pictures will be taken and provided
to management. After review by a CHUTES representative a proposal
will be submitted for making the necessary repairs and cleaning
the trash chute system.
CLEANING
PROCEDURE
Upon acceptance of the proposal, CHUTES International agrees that
scheduling will commence and the following shall apply:
A: It is the
responsibility of the Owner or the Building Management to inform
residents of schedule dates and precautionary procedures. (We highly
recommend posting notification at each chute door location.)
B. The trash
chute system and compactors will he saturated with an E.P.A. Registered
quaternary chemical which kills the biological contaminants. A minimum
ten minute dwell time is necessary.
C. The trash
chute system will be saturated with a highly concentrated degreaser.
D. After degreasing,
the trash chute system will receive a final rinse with an E.P.A.
quaternary chemical which is left to dry on the surface. This also
acts as a deodorizing wash.
E. The compactor
room will be cleaned of all refuse as a result of the cleaning process
and will be deodorized and sanitized. All areas in which we work
will be left in a clean and orderly condition(does not apply to
preexisting conditions).
F. All material
is guaranteed to be as specified. All work is to be completed in
a professional manner according to standard practices. Any alteration
or deviation from the above specifications involving extra costs
will be executed only upon written order, and will become an extra
charge over and above the estimate. All agreements are contingent
upon accidents, acts of God, or delays beyond our control.
